Classification of self-priming oil pumps

1. Classify according to pump shaft orientation

(1) Horizontal self-priming oil pump shaft is placed horizontally.

(2) vertical pump pump shaft is perpendicular to the horizontal plane.

2. Classification according to impeller suction mode

(1) the single-suction self-priming pump liquid flows from one side to the impeller. The impeller of this pump is easy to manufacture and is the most widely used.

Because the liquid is sucked from one side of the impeller, the pressure on both sides of the impeller is different, resulting in axial thrust.

(2) Double-suction self-priming oil pump liquid flows from both sides of the impeller.

Because the liquid flow on both sides of the impeller is symmetrical, no axial force is generated.

3. Classification according to pump shell division

(1) The open shell is divided on the plane passing through the axis line.

If the main shaft is arranged horizontally, it is called the horizontal open self-priming oil pump;

If the main shaft is a vertical structure, it is called a vertical middle open self-priming oil pump.

(2) the segmented surface of each segment of the pump shell is perpendicular to the main shaft, and the pump shell of each segment is fastened with long bolts.

Subsection type self-priming oil pumps are multistage pumps.

4. Classification according to the shape of the pump shell

(1) volute pump equipped with spiral water pressure chamber of self-priming oil pump, such as commonly used single suction cantilever self-priming oil pump.

(2) a self-priming oil pump with a guide vane type pressure chamber is installed in a turbine pump.

5. Classified by impeller series

(1) there is only one impeller on the single-stage self-priming pump shaft.

Because the liquid in the pump has only one chance to increase energy, so the pump pressure, head is lower.

(2) the multi-stage self-priming oil pump is equipped with two or more impellers on the same pump shaft.

Multi-stage pump impeller is generally single suction type, there will be the first stage impeller design for double suction type.

An impeller is a level, the more the series, the higher the pressure, head, and the greater the unbalanced axial force on the rotor.

Multi-stage self-priming oil pumps are mostly equipped with axial force balancing devices.

According to its special structure, the self-priming pump can also be divided into shield pump, magnetic pump, self-priming pump, pipeline pump, submersible pump, etc.
