The power of the pump usually refers to the input power, that is, the power of the prime mover to the pump shaft, so it is also called the shaft power, expressed by P or N;
The pump shaft power is the power required by the pump shaft, its value can be calculated according to the effective power of the pump Ne and efficiency N, namely: N=Ne/ RI = Qhpg/RI = QHP / 102RI (KW)
B. The effective power of the pump, also known as the output power, is expressed by PE.
It is the effective energy obtained in the pump per unit time of the liquid being transported out of the pump.
That is, the product of pump head and mass flow and gravitational acceleration.

The difference between the shaft power P and the effective power PE is the power lost in the pump, which is measured by the efficiency of the pump.
The efficiency of the pump is the ratio of effective power to shaft power, expressed by Q: RL = PE /P.
E. PE = PGQH (W) or PE-YQH /1000 (KW).
Density of liquid transported by pump (kg/m3), Y: Heavy 'Y =pg(N/m3) of liquid transported by pump.
G: Gravity acceleration (m/s), mass flow QnFpQ(cents or kg/s)
